Introduction to Project Management
During my time in Eng Mgt 3320: Introduction to Project Managment, the class went over the basics of team management to discussing how to manage projects in a global scale. While learning about project management, teams in the class worked with Potosi, MO to plan and design unoffical plans to improve the city.
At Missouri University of Science and Technology, Engineering Management class 3320, Introduction to Project Managment covers all needed understanding to sucessfully manage a project from creating the scope of a project to creating a budget for that project and managing the team for the project. This service based class covers 10 modules and applies those lessons to a project that relates to a need from a city, where teams with in the class produce designs that are delivered to the city by the end of the semester with a banquet and presentation. This class also utilizes time to cover how to use Microsoft project to manage a project from the WBS to the budget and timeline. For this semester, this class is partnering with the city of Potosi Missouri and my team with in the class is producing designs to create a bike path around their city park.
At the end of the semester, students were evaluated for two digital badges, Effective Team Dynamics and Proficent in Project Managment Software. I was awarded both based on team meetings and evaluation as well as the final in the class covering Microsoft project.
The five artifacts that follow the below button show some of the lessons and activites that I have done in the class 3320: Introduction ot Project managment. These five artifacts include 2 activites done in class, one from the lessons on Microsoft Project and two deliverables on the project that is in colaberation with Potosi, MO. These artifacts are discussed about more as to why these five were picked on each artifacts page but were mainly chosen as they include several things that I had not fully know and allowed me to really learn something in a project. All of these artifacts allowed me to take something from the class that I hope to use in my future endevors in a benifical way from my future job to everyday life.
